AbstractBased on emperical evidence gathered through a survey, focus groups, and interviews with scientists involved in international collaborative projects, this paper provides empirical evidence of the relative power of RCR instruction and characteristics of the research environment to affect scientists'research behavior. The author advocates for a more collaborative role for scientists and RCR educators, with behavioral change as its goal.
