Abstract

A chemical engineering student working with a local manufacturing firm as part of her university's co-op program becomes aware of research that shows the chemical that the firm has been using as a catalyst in their manufacturing process is carcinogenic. The student must decide if she should share this information with her manager, and what steps she should take if the manager decides not to act on this information.
