AbstractThis teaching module, developed for Western Michigan University, is meant to stimulate conversation about cheating in higher education. It discusses the problems with cheating and the harm it can do to others and the actual person who is cheating, and an academic community. The author uses the simple analogy of cheating in a checkers to make the point. The module ends with some discussion questions and a few case studies highlighting the main topics of this module.
