AbstractPlans for a 94,000 square foot structure raise questions about the zoning of a house of worship. While residents are publicly voicing fears over the traffic congestion that might be caused through worshipers and sightseers coming to visit the temple, many temple proponents believe that opponents want to block the construction of the Sikh temple due to prejudice. How should the San Jose city council handle this situation, when opponents of the temple file a lawsuit against the city to stop construction?
