AbstractYou find that a new hand-held computer you have just bought has a software problem that potentially would only affect a small number of users (including yourself). In experimenting with a popular spreadsheet program, you find that a simple calculation such as $3+1 cent is displayed as 3.00 on the LCD panel. How would you verify the claim, what possible explanations could there be for this, and how would you respond to denials by the manufacturer of the hand-held computer when they deny there is a problem?
