| Abstract | Alex Saunders decides to enter a Ph.D program in psychology even though she only wants to pursue a master's in the field, and lands her dream opportunity to work with a faculty member who is highly respected in the field, but is extremely busy himself and expects as much intensity and work from his graduate student. After surviving her first three semesters, her professor asks her to take over a study that involves shadowing a small child in the classroom. When a situation arises, the teacher of the child asks Alex to call an end to the study, even though it will mean going against the wishes of her adviser. |
