Abstract

This article discusses ethical implications for the academy in the use of cyberspace and virtual reality in conducting its teaching and research responsibilities. The authors provide a framework for thinking about ethical issues, and discusses issues such as academic civility when communicating electronically, the manipulation of images and sounds, and issues pertaining to academic administration and infrastructure.
