Code of Ethics

First: We at all times strive to uphold the honor, maintain the dignity and promote the usefulness of the aviation Industry of which we are a part.

Second. We consider our profession not only a worthy one but also one which affords a distinct opportunity to serve the public according to the highest standards of service.

Third: We count among the personal qualifications of each of our members honesty, sincerity, truth, courtesy, justice, honor, and integrity.

Fourth: We think in terms of our profession, realizing that our best asset Is a thorough. complete and detailed knowledge of out business, and that no item is too small for careful study.

Fifth: We believe general prosperity is essential to our success, and that the only legitimate basis of profit is a reward for services rendered that are of mutual benefit to all concerned.


Responsibility to Each Other

First: We believe that intelligent cooperation rather than irresponsible competition results In less cost and better service to our customers and more profit to ourselves.

Second: We believe that business competition does not preclude personal friendship, and that good fellowship between our members is the basis of confidence which benefits all.

Third: We at all times avoid making misleading statements in any form or circulating harmful rumors regarding a competitor's services, rates, financial, business, or personal standing.

Fourth: We agree that by conducting our business on the highest possible plane we aid our entire industry to receive the confidence and respect of the public.

Fifth: We hold that our interests can beg be served through such mutual interchange of general information that each, through the experience of others may profit thereby.


Responsibilities to the Public

First: We observe truth, honesty, and consideration in interviews with the public.

Second: We accept as our responsibility the, duty to scrupulously guard business information of a confidential nature.

Third: We believe that the legal rights, duties, and obligations of our customers and of ourselves should be known and observed by all concerned.

Fourth: We agree that knowledge of our costs is essential to the formation of our schedule of charges, and that when such schedules of charges are formulated they should be fair, public, and applied without discrimination.

Fifth: We regard it as a duty to disseminate public information about our business and to take all possible measures to refute any untrue statements concerning our colleagues or their businesses.

Sixth: We keep ourselves informed on all matters of proposed legislation which might adversely affect our business or our customers and the public in their relationship to ourselves, and take such action as may be necessary to protect all concerned.


Responsibility to Employees

First: We subscribe to the view that we should take an active and sympathetic interest In the welfare of our employees, making every effort to keep them efficient, well, happy, and contented.

Second: We believe that industry, ability, and loyalty should be rewarded, and that promotion should be on the basis of merit.

Third: We agree that a fair wage for a fair day's work is the first consideration in arriving at the rate of pay for our employees with due regard for general living conditions, appropriate recreational activities, and the individual service rendered.

Fourth: We believe that it is our responsibility to provide all proper safety devices and to make every effort to provide clean, congenial, and pleasant working conditions.
