| Abstract | This article briefly reports on the results of a survey done by ETH Zurich's Institute for Environmental Decisions (IED) which sought to look at lay people's perspectives about the use of nanotechnology in food products and food packaging. The study found that individuals were more likely to accept the use of nanotechnology in packaging then its use in food products, and that the level of acceptance of a product depended on individuals being able to recognize a direct use for the product, such as adding cancer-preventative nutrients in the food. |
