Abstract

Describes the 'Open Source Nano project where researchers developed a cost-effective procedure that uses everyday chemicals to help remove arsenic contamination from groundwater in impoverished or rural areas. The technique requires no electricity or manufacturing infrastructure and creates functional and high-quality magnetite nano crystals that can be used for remediation of arsenic from groundwater.
