Abstract

The authors highlight the knowledge gap that exists about nanotechnologies potential impact on human and environmental health, and identify the following areas where more research needs to go forward. This includes limited information about nanoparticles, difficulties in relating nanotechnologies and the production of nanomaterials to specific areas of application, and the risk they pose to workers.
