Abstract

The article discusses the lack of regulatory requirements imposed on the manufacturing and use of nanomaterials (except in Canada). The author sees this as an opportunity to reopen the discussion on regulatory environmental policy and suggests that this is the time for the public to demand increased precaution and assurances for government that they will take a proactive approach on managing the environmental risks associated with emerging technologies.
