Abstract

www.nanopanel.nl is a dutch web site that seeks to involve citizens in a discussion on the implications of nanotechnology in everyday life. Supported by the Commission for a Society-Wide Dialogue on Nanomaterials (Secretariaat Commissie Maatschappelijke Dialoog Nanotechnologie), the site posts articles and reports on the site, and asks citizens to join the panel and share their opinion on how society should deal with nanotechnology. At the end of 2010, the commission will compile a report on the success of this and different projects and report to the government on how the public feel about the opportunities and threats associated with nanotechnology research and development.
