Abstract

This web page describes a series of seven public debates organized in Paris, France by Vivagora, an association devoted to promoting participatory democracy by organizing public debates around issues in science and technology. The purpose of these debates is to help identify stakeholders in the nanotechnology debate and to formulate recommendations for policy makers. The web site includes a summary of the participants in the debate, as well as a summaries of each of the seven sessions on different issues surrounding nanotechnology such as the risk to workers and the governance of nanotechnology. Similar debates have been held in Paris and Grenoble in 2006 by this same group, which can be found off of the VivAgora web site.
