| Abstract | Analyzing emerging technologies may demand new tools. The following article considers some of the challenges associated with critically analyzing the arguments made about emerging technologies, especially nanotechnology. The content of this article draws from a decade of humanistic analysis as well as social science research on nanotechnology and its interface with multiple stakeholding communities, especially the general public. Built as a thought piece, its purpose is to generate discussion and debate rather than serve as an outline for a new ethics. |
