Abstract	This paper reviews available information about current science, technology and innovation policies for nanotechnology and highlights the nature and organisation, some challenges and opportunities of different national STI policy approaches from 24 different countries. The report compilers found that the majority of respondent countries have nanotechnology-specific policies in place and dedicated funds for nanotechnology research, almost 3/4ths are involved in international discussion fora and initiatives on nanotechnology, and that the majority of countries are considering ethical, legal, and societal implications of nanotechnology in some form or another.
