Report on early harvest of research results of nanosafety

This report the finding from a workshop focusing on the the state-of -the-art of key areas of nanosafety from completed and ongoing research projects in order to support the initiatives to implement the European chemical legislation REACH for nanomaterials. The workshop focused on three main areas; 1) measurement, characterization, and categorization, 2) exposure measurement and mitigation, and 3) toxicity and ecotoxicity. The conference was organized by the Nanobiosciences United of the European Commission's Institute for Health and Consumer Protection at the Joint Research Center with the United Chemicals-REACH of directorate General Enterprise and Industry.
