Consultation citoyenne EpE-APPA sur les questions environnementales et sanitaires liees au developpement des nanotechnologies: Recommandations finales

This report gives the final recommendations of a French citizens' panel after the fifteen members, who had no background in nanotechnology, sat through two day sessions listening to a panel of experts with presented information about nanotechnology's health and environmental benefits and risks, and information about what precautionary measures are or should be taken. The panel unanimously concluded that nanotechnology research should be pursued, and called for information and security measures to be taken against the potential health and environmental risks, and for more transparency and the adoption of a "good conduct chart" for researchers, industry, and politicians help ensure public health is valued over economic profit.
