Abstract

This report by the Nanotechnology Environmental and Health Implications Working Group of the National Science and Technology Council's Nanoscale Science, Engineering and Technology Subcommittee lays out a framework to guide and inform agency efforts to address prioritized research areas on the environment, health and safety (EHS)of nanomaterials. The five main research areas covered by this strategy are instrumentation, metrology, and analytical methods, nanomaterials and human health, nanomaterials and the environment, human and environmental exposure assessment, and risk management methods. The report includes a list of research data collected on EHS in appendix A.
