Abstract

This report summarizes the findings of two international workshops held to help define a set of research needs for assessing the potential risks of nanotechnology research and development. The report identifies twenty-six research needs to predict nano-biointeractions, a second set of research needs for risk management, and outline a series of goals for producing tools to help all stakeholders characterize the risks of emerging nanotechnologies.
