Abstract

Article critiques the claim that study on the ethical concerns relating to nanotechnology research and development are lagging behind current scientific developments. Because the predicted ethical issues related development of nanotechnology are closely related to the history of other technological advancements such as biotechnology, a knowledge base already exists. The authors argue for an approach that uses basic ethical principles to analyze the ethical issues related to nanotechnology.
