| Abstract | Many scholars and researchers are optimistic about how the convergence of nanotechnology, biotechnology, information technology, and cognitive science (NIBC) could (and whether it should) be used to enhance human performance. This article examines the two claims that the NIBC program is something new and unique, and that the future prospects of NIBC convergence are overwhelmingly positive. |
