Abstract

In ethical discussions about nanotechnology, scientists, philosophers, and even science fiction writers have developed possible scenarios of its future benefits and drawbacks. Nanotechnology is at an early stage of development, and so no reliable criteria are available for assessing the rationality of these possible scenarios. The author proposes that these 'nanovisions'
