| Abstract | Paper from the 2005 annual conference of the International Communication Association. Paper looks at the media coverage of nanotechnology from 1984-2004. While coverage of nanotechnology during this period was overwhelmingly positive, unlike biotechnology, nanotechnology coverage focused more on possible risks and issues of public accountability, especially in regard to public officials and multinational corporations. |
