| Abstract | Article clarifies what the precautionary principle is, and then refutes common criticisms about its use for regulating nanotechnology. The authors use three examples including the gray goo scenario, nanoparticles and possible health and environmental risks, and privacy concerns related to the development and use of nanoelectronics. |
