Ethicists have argued that, in order to improve the ability to reflect on the ethics of emerging technologies, ethical reflection must become part of the research and development process itself. The paper describes the format of the NanoBio-Raise courses, and suggests shifting the emphasis from public communication to ethical deliberation. </style>
<issue><style face="normal" font="default" size="100%">3</style></issue><section><style face="normal" font="default" size="100%">197</style></section></record></records></xml>
