Written by J. Clarence Davies, who served as assistant EPA administrator under George H. W. Bush, the report calls for administrators to maximize the use of existing laws to improve nanotechnology oversight, and to also maker longer-term changes to existing laws, such as amending the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act to include tighter oversight in areas where consumers are mostly likely to come in contact with nanomaterials. The report also calls for a substantial increase in funding of nanotechnology human health and environmental safety research.</style>
<custom1><style face="normal" font="default" size="100%">http://www.nanotechproject.org/</style></custom1></record></records></xml>
